Our client, a local home builder focusing on single family dwellings, is seeking an estimator for their Edmonton Office.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of residential estimating experience and have the ability and personality required to lead a small team.

The following skills are required for consideration for this position:


} Oversee the activities of 2-3 estimators;

} Prepare schedules and estimates including coordinating sub-trade invitations and estimates, preparation of contract documents and schedules;

} Assist with preparing contracts; negotiations and revisions to agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors;

} Represent the company in relations with business services, joint ventures, regulatory agencies, site personnel and new construction markets;

} Cost control; ability to interpret computerized cost data;

} Review proposal specifications; provide final estimating input an various projects.



The following skills would be considered great assets for this role:


} Proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office;

} Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;

} Strong coordination skills and organization skills;

} Ability to set and manage priorities to meet all deadlines.
