Manager, International Purchasing Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipments in a timely and cost effective way while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications in Latin America. Individuals with senior levels of experience will be recognized accordingly. Main duties of the Job: • Dealing with suppliers and brokers in Canada, China and Latin America. • Develop and review purchase requests and ensure authorization as necessary to facilitate the timely purchase of products to be delivered to Latin America. • Maintain procurement files and track purchasing activity and measurements. • Manage vendor relationships with Latin America and Canadian companies. • Assist department in developing and implementing purchasing strategies for Latin America. • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein in support of the company. Educational Requirements of the Job: • University Degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience. • Knowledge of Microsoft office products and Microsoft Photo Editor. Experience/Skill Requirements of the Job: • 7 to 10 years experience in a similar role, importing products to Latin America. • Previous experience with the tradeshow markets. • Cost and time evaluation experience. • A strong understanding of the import and export laws in Latin America. • Previous experience dealing with Latin America import and export laws and procedure. • Bilingual in English and Spanish. Perfect writing, reading and listening in Spanish is required.
